Out of the Box

I met Miss C at a Bat Mitzvah I was shooting. And after speaking to her Mom for just a few minutes on the dance floor they agreed to show up at a session I had the very next day that I was short a dancer for. Who does that? I mean how wonderful was it to meet this insane dancer and her mother who would help out a stranger like that? I was instantly thankful and smitten by the ethics and outgoing personality of Miss C and her mother. Once the studio session was over I already was wanting to work with her again as soon as possible! I contacted her Mom shorty after to see if Miss C would like to help me think out of the box and create some gritty, moving, lyrical shots, which were out of my comfort zone. It was a terrific learning experience for me, having such a powerful dancer that had the patience and ability to collaborate with me on my crazy ideas, and I know she made me a better photographer after that day!
