I met Miss C at a Bat Mitzvah I was shooting. And after speaking to her Mom for just a few minutes on the dance floor they agreed to show up at a session I had the very next day that I was short a dancer for. Who does that? I mean how wonderful was it to meet this insane dancer and her mother who would help out a stranger like that? I was instantly thankful and smitten by the ethics and outgoing personality of Miss C and her mother. Once the studio session was over I already was wanting to work with her again as soon as possible! I contacted her Mom shorty after to see if Miss C would like to help me think out of the box and create some gritty, moving, lyrical shots, which were out of my comfort zone. It was a terrific learning experience for me, having such a powerful dancer that had the patience and ability to collaborate with me on my crazy ideas, and I know she made me a better photographer after that day! So, once again…Thank you!
Miss C also puts in tons of volunteer hours to support Traveling Tutus Inc and is a Traveling Tutus Ambassador. This is an incredible organization that helps support education and the arts! You can visit her fundraising page here at: Traveling Tutus Inc. Any and all donations are very much appreciated!

We had cancelled our session several times due to undesirable weather, so a little wind wasn’t going to stop us today. And by “a little wind”, I mean ALOT of wind. But although we were a bit hesitant on how it was going to work out, we all were pleasantly surprised to have the wind actually work in our favor by not only cooling us off, but adding a bit of drama and flare to our already stunning Miss C!
The day ended up being perfect. We had such an amazing time exploring the beautiful grounds of Fairchild Tropical Gardens. And the fresh floral halo, created by lil ol me, worked out great on accomplishing the boho feel we were wanting for this shoot. Miss C was so fun to work with, she was up to jump into any nook I discovered to get some really interesting shots and completely owned her session!

I’ll admit this was my first prom session, and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Often during these milestones in our teen agers lives its easy to get caught up in it all. And then totally forget to take photos while its happening, then before you know it, its over. Having two teen agers myself I know it happens all too often. So I was totally thrilled to capture this fantastic night for these two so they have some really incredible images to reflect on as they move on to the next chapter of their lives, college.

There is something really magical that happens in the hallways of a dance studio. Not only do you hear talk of technique, or an upcoming class, but there is this wonderful feeling of friendship and sisterhood of girls that share the same passion and commitment for what they love. They do homework together, eat together, laugh and I’m sure cry together too. So while I love to have one on one sessions with my dancers, having a session that expressed the sisterhood I get to witness at the studios I work with was a great experience. The common thread of dance that holds them all together. The support and love they have for one another and the bond that has grown over the years, along with their technique. I loved this group of girls, all of whom I had photographed before individually. But it was different having them all together, joy, laughter, the essence of youth and all the wonderful experiences for them to come, and share…together.
One of my images was also shared by the amazing Pointe Magazine publication, with the #squadgoals. I say we nailed it girls!

Her mom went above and beyond finding the perfect outfits for Miss A to wear at our beach session, so I was excited before we even started! She was fabulous to work with, and I had so much fun hanging out with her and her mom, laughing a lot and having a great time! We both did work hard to get that perfect water shot, which was worth every ant bite and braved everything from heat and crowds to beach stickers and a not so light rain in the middle of our session. Which we all made it through while laughing the whole time. As all troopers, we continued on and ended up having an amazing time and created some gorgeous images to remember our afternoon together.

First thing I do when getting an inquiry of a session is schedule an introduction meeting, usually over a good cup of coffee. This way I can not only meet my clients, but get to know their personalities, what they are wanting for their custom session, and go over every detail from what they will be wearing to what will be our location options. This was not the case with Miss K and her Mom. I received an email asking for a senior session on the beach, and it had to be done the very next day. I admit I was nervous, not only for never meeting this client, but not being familiar with the hotel location either. However, the minute I saw Miss K, who was a complete stunner, and meeting her Mom, who was the most friendly wonderful women, I knew this session was going to be a blast. And it was! We had such a fun time just strolling around the hotel and making the most of several lil nooks and crannies around the property. We ended the session with a few shots on the beach as the sun went down, then actually took a moment to take it all in once we were done. I absolutely loved meeting these two fantastic women, I felt we were always meant to met and Im really enjoying watching Miss K kicking butt in tennis and accomplishing so much during her Senior year in Pennsylvania! Heres to last minute meetings and hoping our paths cross again some day!

I’ve been blessed to have known this incredible couple for years now. I was lucky enough to be there to photograph their beautiful wedding, to capture her raw beauty for her boudoir session, and now…Miss E at her most stunning, when she is expecting! They are the couple romance novels are made of. So to be asked to capture the next chapter of their love story really was a most wonderful experience. And…I might have been asked to photograph the next chapter too….

My daughter and I hopped a plane to Tampa for this crazy fun session! It was a very cold day out for us Floridians, but the expecting Miss D didn’t even bat an eyelash. She was up for anything, including probably walking a good 5 miles by the time we were done with all the locations of this shoot. And every place we went was more amazing then the last, the Tampa Firehouse Museum, was so amazing to shoot at, and her and her husband were the most gorgeous couple, and totally in love, which made photographing them so much fun! The fact we also had the two best assistants of all time with us made the day so special, (thank you Ash and my sweet daughter)!! We then ventured to the University of Tampa, the campus took my breathe away, the photo opportunities there were endless, and Miss D was rocking it till the very end!
The whole week end in Tampa with this really great couple and our friends was so incredible for me and my daughter. And Im so happy we got beautiful images to capture it all. And no trip would be complete without our traditional crepes at La Creperia Cafe, an overall amazing time!

We show up to a quite beach location scouted earlier that week, only to see we were not the only ones that wanted to go to the beach that day, it was PACKED. And while I admit it threw me off a little, Miss K handled it with calmness and security and overall professionalism. She didn’t even hesitate when asked to leap over and over again on a crowded boardwalk. Or go up en pointe while an seemly endless line of cars drove by. She was so confident and laid back, she really made me feel we were the only ones of the beach that day.
I’d seen Miss K dance at Astrid Audet Academy of Ballet and she always caught my eye for not only being a strong, technical dancer, but one that LOVES to dance! I mean it radiates on her face every time she performs, which in turn makes her even more exquisite to watch. She is so driven and talented, all while being humble and courteous and just lovely to work with.

The minute I met Miss A, her mom, and little sis at Starbucks, I instantly felt like family. Which made coming up with locations and the look for her session so much fun and exciting. I admit, she was my first “cupcake” pre session, and being able to capture her in the dream quinceanera ball gown was really amazing. It took a small village of family and close friends who came along to the shoot to help which made the day really really special. And the day was no joke, hours of location changes, clothes changes and Miss A up for pretty much any idea I had for her. Her quinceanera party was equally fun and full of family and friends, I had such a great night with them all. I look forward to keeping in touch with this really amazing family, and watching Miss A continue to blossom into an incredible young women.
